Gaming, Board Games & Media Lab

Teens are welcomed to use the Library's equipment to play games or make your own video against our green screen. The Media Lab is perfect for school projects or presentations, or just to experiment with movie making.

Teen and Tween Programs

Palos Heights’ residents may register for programs upon receipt of the PageTurner in your mail delivery. Others may register starting the first week of each month.

Programs marked with an " R" require registration in order to attend. Programs marked with a " D 2400px" are drop-in programs, so no registration is needed.

Tuesday, October 9, 4 pm, Grades 4-12
Enjoy the library’s new collection of manga or just come to talk about manga and anime that you have enjoyed and want to share! This group is for anyone who likes to watch or draw anime, read or write manga books, or would just like to enjoy the library’s new manga collection. Snacks will be provided.

Thursday, October 11 at 6pm, Grades 6-12
Think you’re the best smasher out there? Come pit your skills against others in this tournament of champions! The winner will receive a prize.

Tuesday, October 16 at 4 pm, Grades 4-8
Beware of the undead! There will be a make-up demonstration of how to transform ourselves into zombies. We will learn how to walk, talk and then enjoy some tasty brains.

AR Murder Mystery

Thursday, October 25, 4pm, Grades 4-8
Calling all sleuths! The librarians need your help to solve a murder using clues found throughout the entire Youth and Teen Services Department. Participants will have to use smart phones and tablets to find clues that are invisible to the naked eye. Can you find all the clues and be the first to solve the mystery? Come find out!
