Youth Services Programs

Palos Heights’ residents may register for programs upon receipt of the PageTurner in your mail delivery. Others may register starting the first week of each month.

Programs marked with an " R" require registration in order to attend. Programs marked with a " D 2400px" are drop-in programs, so no registration is needed.

Outstanding October Programs

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Pick up a pumpkin from the library and decorate with any BOOK theme. Get creative: carvings, paints, baubles, lights (no candles please). Return it to the library by Oct. 19 to enter our drawing. We’re giving away 3 /$10 Jewel gift cards, and you may take your pumpkin home after the drawing! Limit 1 pumpkin per family, while supplies last.
PH Residents can select a pumpkin Oct. 9 & 10. Open to non-residents Oct. 11.

Star War Reads Day

Thursday, October 5, 4 pm, 2nd grade+
Kids can create their own Origami Yoda and enjoy Star Wars themed games as we celebrate the joy of reading, and the excitement of Star Wars! Costumes welcomed.

Monday, October 9, noon-4 pm, All Ages

Dinosaur Discoveries

Sunday, November 5, 2 pm, Family Program
Take a new look at the popular prehistoric giants that still baffle the scientific world. Children will become detectives to learn about the world of dinosaurs. Fossils are discovered to create awareness of dino size, footprints, eggs, horns, teeth, and bones.
